Living Will/Advance Directives

There has been a tremendous amount of interest regarding health care decisions and advance directives also known as “living wills.” In order to update our Tri-State Polonia members from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware about this topic, information has been placed on the internet site of Polish American Social Services. There are links regarding a “living will” or advance directive, a document which is intended to:

1. Give instructions about your own medical care.

2. Name an agent to make health care decisions for you if you become incapable of making your own decisions.

This information is beneficial to people of all ages and will help you understand the importance of having this document prepared now and readily available when needed.

For additional information, you can call PASS, Monday through Friday, 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. at (215) 923-1900.
